hustl+flow started with a feeling.
Years ago, I was travelling occasionally for work and found myself in some incredible boutique fitness studios across North America. The energy was contagious. The instructors knew your name. The classes challenged you, inspired you, and somehow left you feeling more like yourself when you walked out than when you walked in.
Every time I came back home to Waterloo, I found myself wishing we had more of that here.
At first, I thought I wanted to open a spin studio. I was hooked on the experience and community those classes created. But the more I sat with the idea, the more I realized that the practices that had shaped my own life weren’t just about one workout.
Yoga had become an anchor for me. It helped me move through the grief of losing my Dad suddenly when I was 24. It's where I returned when life felt busy, overwhelming, or uncertain. It helped me slow down, reconnect, and remember what mattered.
Boxing was something my brother Connor and I had done in our teenage years. It's a powerful practice that builds confidence, discipline, resilience, and reminds you how good it feels to move powerful energy through your body.
Those practices couldn’t have looked more different on the surface, but they gave me exactly what I needed at different moments in my life.
And that sparked a bigger idea.
What if there was one place where people didn’t have to choose?
A place where you could come for an intense sweat one day and a grounding yoga class the next. A place where movement wasn’t about fitting yourself into one box, but about having options. A place where you could belong to a community and move in whatever way served you best that day. When I shared the idea with Connor, he immediately got it. Together, we started dreaming about what that could look like. We brought Adrianna on board to help shape our programming and instructor development, and alongside a few incredible partners and our OG instructors, we got to work building what would become hustl+flow.
What started as an idea quickly became something much bigger than a fitness studio.
It became a real community. A home away from home.
A place where people come to challenge their bodies, reconnect with themselves, and remember that movement can be both hard and healing.
Nearly a decade later, that vision still guides everything we do.
We believe movement should support your life, and be part of your toolkit for overall well-being.
Some days you need strength.
Some days you need stillness.
Some days you need to sweat it out, shake it off, or simply take a deep breath.
We’re here for all of it.
Because feeling good isn’t a luxury.
It’s the foundation for everything else.
Welcome to hustl+flow.
